Head of Finance - FP&A

To be based in either Hook or Hammersmith with regular travel to the alternative location

This is an exciting time to join Virgin Media as the Head of Finance - FP&A. As the key senior finance role for the Virgin Media Business (VMB) division, you will be responsible for all FP&A reporting and analysis, leading across VMB revenue, covering all rental, usage, voice and book-ship revenue and associated margin.
You will be leading a team that provides proactive financial and performance analysis which supports day to day business management, strategic decision-making, and medium and long term planning. With this in mind, your duties will be wide ranging, but ultimately you will be responsible for:

* Team leadership and engagement.
* All forecasting activities, from current month outlook, balance of year, budget through to long range plan inputs, with clear outputs that articulate principal drivers & assumptions.
* Performance reporting, providing key business insight and analytics.
* Producing analysis that drives a deeper level of understanding of the key drivers of financial performance and the appropriate corrective actions required.
* Influencing the commercial leadership team to make optimal investment and trade-off decisions to maximise revenue growth by providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
* Identifying and supporting the business in delivering initiatives that maximise revenue growth through both volume and ARPU (Average Revenue Per User).
* Overseeing system transformation requirements and development of reporting capabilities.
* Supporting and leading on key process development from both a people and systems perspective.
* Providing appropriate challenge across all operational forecast assumptions, including volumes, churn, price erosion and base movements.
* Providing input and challenge into commercial deal propositions to deliver incoming revenue targets whilst maximising deal profitability.
* Challenging and supporting capital investment requests to ensure maximum benefits are realised.
* Supporting and challenging all pricing decisions from price rises on existing customer base through to new product launch price points.
* Working closely with the business to proactively identify and mitigate potential customer churn/price erosion risks
* Ensuring financial integrity, compliance and control of the balance sheet.
The role will have significant exposure to senior management and will deputise for the VMB Finance Director when required. If you join us as a Head of Finance - FP&A we would want you to have:

* A professional accountancy qualification or MBA, ideally holding around 10 year’s post-qualification experience.
* Strong financial, operational and commercial expertise, ideally within a customer facing service based organisations.
* B2B, Telco or TMT (Technology, Media, Telecom) experience highly advantageous.
* Proven influencing skills at the Executive leadership level.
* A history of developing strong teams with high engagement.
* A drive to succeed whilst focused on delivering results and exceeding business unit expectations.
* A confident approach to decision making, process improvement and accountability.
* The ability to behave with a high level of integrity, honesty, respect and empathy.
