We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced pay services professional to join us as a Commission & Payroll Governance Manager on a 6 month fixed term contract. Working closely with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, this role will define and deliver the Employee Services (ES) Governance strategy whilst supporting the delivery of an efficient end to end compensation and payments process for all Virgin Media employees.
As an integral part of the ES leadership team, your duties will be wide ranging, but ultimately you will be responsible for:

* Defining and delivering the ES Governance strategy to align focus with business needs, maximise cost effectiveness, comply with legal requirements and reflect current Global Shared Services/HR/Payroll best practice.
* Establishing the design and development of the governance & control framework across the compensation and payment platform.
* Supporting the delivery of an efficient end to end compensation and payments process for all Virgin Media employees.
* Supporting the efficient operation, control, planning and reporting of all payment, including: service standards and reporting, service management and operational risk.
* Ensuring the ES team has an up to date understanding of current Compensation and Payment schemes.
* Consulting with internal stakeholders to understand the ongoing Compensation and Payment schemes, operational strategies and any planned changes.
* Taking responsibility for procedures and controls to assure compliance across all compensation and payment schemes and apply good practice.
* Identifying operational and regulatory risk, defining and implementing clear mitigation plans where necessary.
* Monitoring payment performance and compliance with all relevant compensation and payment initiatives, ensuring they are workable, documented and data is available to support the business.
* Monitoring and improving the governance and control framework in line with benchmarked best practice, customer needs, and ES/Shared Services strategy.
* Planning and delivering compensation and payment impacting projects and solutions to drive continuous improvement.
* Participating in projects/reviews that may determine the future course of reward schemes within the business.
Everyone in our Employee Services function has the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment. If you join us as a Commission & Payroll Governance Manager we would want you to have:

* A broad knowledge of external Payroll/Shared Services developments and best practice.
* Proven experience in a service management environment.
* In depth knowledge of income Employment Legislation.
* Proven leadership, influencing, facilitation & stakeholder management skills.
* A good understanding of reward payment and delivery principals.
* Experience in identifying & implementing controls to mitigate operational risks.
* Proven ability to make considered decisions that protect and enhance values and reputation.
