This is an exciting time to join Virgin Media as a Senior Business Readiness Manager. Reporting to the Head of Business Readiness, you will be responsible for the line management and oversight of Virgin Media Business ("VMB") Readiness activities relating to major change programmes impacting VMB and its customers.
Your duties will be wide ranging, but ultimately you will be responsible for:
* Lead, manage and enable a team of permanent and contract resources to deliver high levels of project delivery excellence and 100% customer service, promoting effective working relationships with all internal and external customers and suppliers.
* Own the delivery of change and operational readiness through the execution of Business Readiness best practices, assuring the defining and delivery of all associated process changes for new product developments, enhancements or improvement initiatives.
* Oversee a team that leads workstreams for VMB focused and group-wide projects, ensuring the team act as the key interface between project teams and the VMB operational areas.
* Ensure the provision of subject matter expertise, project management and business analysis resources to the Business Division on all projects.
* Define and manage controls to ensure all resource sizings and impact assessments are conducted in line with project initiatives through divisional SME’s.
* Ensure the co-ordination of business requirements and definition of success criteria for trials, testing and pilots are reflected in individual business readiness plans.
* Oversee the design of repeatable, quantifiable and lean business processes and change initiatives.
* Monitor the portfolio and individual delivery plans against key milestones and targets and provide status updates to senior stakeholders, project/programme teams and business sponsors.
* Engage and influence Senior Stakeholders across VMB and associated areas to define their business needs and identify opportunities for problem resolution and facilitate the decision making process.
* Accurately assess and effectively communicate the impact of business, operational and technical change to stakeholders at all levels.
* Keep informed of business analysis industry best practice and introduce new tools/techniques and approaches into team culture.

* Ability to build effective working groups and skilled in facilitation and leading workshops/meetings to ensure the best business outcomes.
* Has an ability to coach/mentor Business Analysts and Business Readiness Managers in best practice approaches and the appropriate tools and techniques to use.
* Extensive experience of business analysis and operational improvement in a multi-disciplined and commercial environment.
* Proven experience (5 years + as a minimum) of implementing change within the telecommunications industry.
* A high level of consulting, analytical and problem solving skills, including business and commercial acumen combined with in-depth knowledge of development life cycles.
* Strong problem solving and proven negotiation and conflict management skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
* Experience using MS Office suite in particular Word, Excel and Powerpoint applications.
* Good working knowledge of Project Management methodologies and Business Analysis techniques.
* Working knowledge of process improvement and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
* Previous team management or supervisory experience.
* Significant exposure to working with stakeholders at a senior level.
